USAG DAEGU, SOUTH KOREA -- Lunar New Year (Seollal) is one of the most celebrated national holidays in Korea. Not only it is a chance to pay respect to the ancestors, but it is also an important time of family reunions and catching up with old friends. United States Army Garrison Daegu held its Lunar New Year Reception at the Evergreen Club, Camp Walker, Feb. 23, to greet its families, friends and local neighbors.

The reception was hosted by the USAG Daegu Commander Col. Robert P. Mann Jr. While the string quartet played a relaxing tune, Mann, his wife, 403rd Army Field Support Brigade Commander Col. Renee L. Mann, Deputy to the Garrison Commander William C. Butcher and Garrison Command Sgt. Maj. Juan A. Abreu warmly greeted the guests.

Mr. Lim, Byeong-heon, Nam-gu District Mayor, Mr. Suh, Sok-man, Nam-gu Council Chairman, Mr. Baek, Sun-ki, Chilgok County Governor and many other good neighbors came to the reception to spend some quality time as part of the continuous efforts to strengthen ROK-U.S. alliance.
