As soon as he heard the wrestlers were visiting, Vess ran into his office, grabbed his replica of a wrestling title belt that hangs on his wall and joined in for a picture with his idols. The wrestling stars are visiting Soldiers throughout Iraq in a Morale, Welfare and Recreation program-sponsored tour.

As a way to start up conversation with his wrestling idols, Rodriguez brought out his yellow cheat, a plush toy that Rodriguez has brought with him on three separate deployments to Iraq and as a joke, each of the stars took their turn at punching Rodriguez's yellow good luck charm. The wrestlers now join the ranks of other famous stars to include Robin Williams, John Elway and CNN's Anderson Cooper who have taken their pictures with Rodriguez and his good luck charm.
