PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colorado -- U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command will host ScreamFree workshops on leadership and marriage here as well as Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
On April 20 here, ScreamFree Leadership will be offered from 2-4 p.m. at the Peterson Air Force Base auditorium, and ScreamFree Marriage will be in the Building 3 training rooms from 6-8 p.m.
On May 3 at Redstone Arsenal, ScreamFree Leadership will be offered from 2-4 p.m. in the VBIII auditorium, and ScreamFree Marriage will be in building 5220, conference room 5014, from 6-8 p.m.
Based on the teachings of founder, Hal Runkel, ScreamFree gives individuals the tools they need to face life's challenging moments and find the peace they have always craved.
"We hear a lot about the Army's approach to leadership and development, and I think it would be really great to bring in that outside perspective which you'll see truly mirrors the approaches we're taking as a whole," said Julie Lindahl, Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention, or SHARP, program manager for SMDC.
Hal Runkel, who has made more than 40 Today Show presentations and more than 1,000 television and radio appearances, will be leading each of the workshops.
"When Hal comes to see us, you're going to have your eyes open, your heart's going to flicker, and you are going to hear some amazing relationship wisdom from an individual who has gone through it himself in order to create it for people," said Lindahl. "And you can take these basic concepts into other situations in life. You're going to develop better self-respect, authentic self-representation, and you will emerge with a personal responsibility to respond more and react less."

ScreamFree Leadership is open to all SMDC employees, and ScreamFree Marriage is open to all SMDC employees and their spouses. Pizza and ScreamFree Marriage books will be provided during the marriage workshop at no cost.
