The Maneuver Support Center of Excellence deputy to the commanding general for the Army National Guard leadership changed hands Sunday as Brig. Gen. Alicia Tate-Nadeau assumed responsibilities from Brig. Gen. Roy Webb.

Tate-Nadeau adds this title to her list that already includes assistant adjutant general, director of the Joint Staff, Illinois National Guard and Federal Emergency Management Agency Region 5 incident management assistant team leader in Chicago.

The deputy to the commanding general for the Army National Guard position at MSCoE represents the chief of the National Guard Bureau and director of the Army National Guard and serves as the advisor to the MSCoE commanding general for all Army National Guard issues.

With a background as a chemical officer, having attended Chemical Officer Basic and Advanced courses here, Tate-Nadeau said it was nice to return to Fort Leonard Wood.

"I'm happy to say that today I get to come back and be a part of this team again," she said.

In welcoming Tate-Nadeau back to Fort Leonard Wood, Maj. Gen. Kent Savre, MSCoE and Fort Leonard Wood commanding general, said, "There is no one better qualified to continue the momentum that Roy started here, and to lead our National Guard team into the future."

Savre highlighted Webb's dedication to the National Guard Soldiers training at Fort Leonard Wood during his tenure here.

"For the past three years as the National Guard deputy to the commanding general, Gen. Webb provided strong leadership vision direction and inspiration to drive positive change," Savre said.

"One of Gen. Webb's most significant contributions here was the effort to reduce the discharge rate of Army National Guard Soldiers in training."

"Rest assured that you leave Fort Leonard Wood a better place, that you've absolutely brought the total Army team a little bit closer," he added.

Tate-Nadeau thanked Webb for the groundwork he laid over his three-year assignment and looked to the future for the National Guard in maneuver support.

"Thank you for leaving me with an outstanding team," she said. "I believe that together we will make this a greater place than it already is."
