One of Fort Belvoir's residential communities has been recognized as one of the best residential properties for providing the highest level and quality of service for its residents.

Lewis Village received the prestigious 2008 National Multifamily Customer Service Award for Excellence from CEL & Associates, Inc., a real estate strategy, benchmarking and performance solutions firm.

According to the award criteria, the firm annually recognizes those individuals and organizations that have achieved the highest levels of customer satisfaction and service by extracting the satisfaction scores from tenants and residents of commercial and residential companies throughout North America.

Lt. Col. Tony Bullock has lived in Lewis Village since it opened and he couldn't be happier with the service he receives from the village personnel.

"This is a great honor for Lewis Village," Bullock said. "The staff here is always top-notch and greets the residents with smiling faces.

"The service they provide is outstanding and they always follow up with me on work orders and I am proud to be a resident here," Bullock said.

Staff Sgt. Brian Reichner and his family have been residents in Lewis Village since August 2007. He also noted the wonderful service he receives.

"The staff does a wonderful job completing work orders promptly and effectively," Reichner said. "This village is a beautiful place and they do a great job keeping it that way."

Bullock reiterated the notion that Lewis Village truly deserves this award.

"The staff at Lewis Village deal with each resident on a personal basis," Bullock said. "I am a firm believer that our village has the best staff in the Villages at Belvoir."

Jean Downey, the Community Director for The Villages at Belvoir, added that it was a tremendous honor to win this award, because the criterion is based solely on residents' feedback.

"It is a tremendous honor for Fort Belvoir Residential Communities and Lewis Village to have won this award, particularly since it was the responses to the survey from the military families that live in Lewis Village that resulted in the designation of achieving the highest level and quality of service in the nation," Downey said. "We value the opinions and feedback each of them share and its value in helping us to improve our service.

"We look forward to the opportunity to achieve this designation in all of our villages and each and every resident of The Villages at Belvoir is the top priority for all Pinnacle staff," Downey said.
