REDSTONE ARSENAL, Alabama -- One U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command employee is closing one chapter and starting a new one.

Joanna Brunson, a program support specialist with USASMDC/ARSTRAT's Technical Center, retired at the Von Braun III auditorium on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, Jan. 29.

During the ceremony Brunson received the Superior Civilian Service Award, an American flag, a three-star note, a certificate of appreciation, and a certificate of retirement and pin.

Brunson retires with about 27 years of combined military and federal civilian service.
