FORT DRUM, N.Y. (Dec. 10, 2015) -- Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes, Lend Lease's privatized housing community located on post, has been named a 2015 National Night Out Award winner in the Neighborhoods / Communities category. It is one of four military housing communities selected within this category.

National Night Out is a nationwide celebration geared toward heightening crime prevention awareness and strengthening the neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. This year marked the 10th consecutive time that Mountain Community Homes has participated in the nationally celebrated event.

Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes also has received a coveted NNO Award for three years in a row.

This year, more than 2,500 Fort Drum Soldiers and their Families participated in the National Night Out event, hosted by Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes.

"It is truly an honor to be recognized for participating in such an amazing, nationally recognized program," said Megan Klosner, director of property management. "Countless hours go into the planning of just one evening, and it would not be possible without the continued support from our Fort Drum, state and county agencies. It's all about bringing the community together for a night of education and safety awareness, while having fun at the same time."

More information about National Night Out is available online at www.natw.org.
