CHIEVRES, Belgium -- U.S. Army Europe recently facilitated the transfer of 550 Improved Outer Tactical Vests with Enhanced Small Arms Protective Inserts to the Belgium Ministry of Defense.

The equipment was requested by the Belgium Chief of Defense for Belgian security forces conducting anti-terrorism operations. U.S. Army Europe G4 completed the required paperwork and coordinated the transfer. The 21st Theater Sustainment Command and the 405th Army Field Support Brigade executed the transfer of equipment, to include training on how to wear the equipment, and conducted a joint inventory. The equipment is valued at approximately $1.3 million and is on loan under the Acquisition Cross Servicing Agreement.
