LAS VEGAS (Army News Service, Jan. 31, 2007) - Ginn Racing concluded a two-day test session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway yesterday afternoon, as the team continues to ready for the fast approaching 2007 season.

The team tested four cars at the session (No. 01 with Mark Martin, No. 13 with Joe Nemechek, No. 14 with Sterling Marlin and No. 39 with Regan Smith), and were pleased with the organization's results.

"We had a really good session and I'm pleased with what we were able to accomplish in the couple of days that we were here," said Ginn racing newcomer Mark Martin. "I've been very impressed with the way the teams work together at Ginn Racing and it really feels like we are all on the same page with what we have going on here.

"The cars were all about 10th to 15th place cars and we'll take that," continued Martin. "We'll build on it and continue to work at the shop to be even better when we come back. It's definitely a great starting point for where we want to be, and with what I've seen so far there is no reason to think that we won't be competitive when we start the season."

The NEXTEL Cup Series will visit Las Vegas Motor Speedway March 4 for the second race of the 2007 season. The season opener is the March 11 Daytona 500.

"Both the Daytona and the Las Vegas test sessions have been great for the entire Ginn Racing team," offered Nemechek. "It's hard to believe the 2007 season is about to start up again, but we're looking forward to it and think it's going to be an exciting year for our growing organization."

In addition to Nemechek's, Marlin's, and Martin's entries in Las Vegas Motor Speedway's Nextel Cup event, Smith will compete in the March 10 Busch series race.

"I'm very excited about what we have going on as we move into the season," said Marlin. "All the teams at Ginn continue to work on these cars and we've made a lot of improvement in just a couple of days. As I said, it's been a great working atmosphere in the off season and I can't wait to get the year started."

The teams will return to action next week at Daytona International Speedway, as the 2007 season gets underway at Speedweeks.
