At the invitation of the City University of Hong Kong School, Maj. Tom Edwards, a veterinarian from Public Health Command-Pacific, instructed local Hong Kong and Chinese veterinarians in emergency and critical care procedures at the City University of Hong Kong School of Veterinary Medicine from Nov. 4-5, 2015.

Edwards delivered a two day, hands-on, continuing education course in veterinary emergency and critical care procedures as part of a continuing education series

The objectives of the symposium were to develop the veterinary educational capacity in Hong Kong and build relationships with the City University of Hong Kong School of Veterinary Medicine, which is the only veterinary school in Hong Kong, as well as the veterinary communities in both Hong Kong and mainland China.

Participants, which included ten veterinarians from Hong Kong and five veterinarians from mainland China, benefited from quality continuing education from a recognized expert in the field.
