REDSTONE ARSENAL, Alabama -- A U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command G-8 employee retired among family, coworkers and friends.

Bob Hirschbuehler, a budget analyst for USASMDC/ARSTRAT's Future Warfare Center, retired at the command's Redstone Arsenal headquarters Oct. 29.

During the ceremony Hirschbuehler received the Superior Civilian Service Award, an American flag, a certificate of appreciation, a three-star note from SMDC's command general, and a certificate of retirement and pin.

Hirschbuehler retires with 42 years of combined military and civilian service.
