FORT HOOD, Texas -- Ray Hibbs, an employee at Logistics Readiness Center -- Hood, was recognized, Oct. 23, by Maj. Gen. Luis R. Visot, chief of staff, U.S. Army Reserve, for outstanding performance and his "willingness to go the extra mile for a Soldier."

Visot presented Hibbs with a Double Eagle Effect (DEE) award for making it possible for Visot to promote Col. Diana Torres, commander, Army Sustainment Command-Army Reserve Element, via video teleconference. Torres was also able to Facetime with her family in Puerto Rico at the same time.

The DEE is a USAR chief of staff program that recognizes individuals who are role models in how they perform their duties.

This recognition is typically reserved for USAR military and civilian personnel. Hibbs was the first non-USAR employee to earn the award.
