FORT DRUM, N.Y. (Oct. 1, 2015) -- Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes and WinnResidential Military Housing Services, the firm providing property management and maintenance services for Lend Lease's military housing portfolio, are excited to announce they placed fifth out of 43 Army installations in a survey of resident satisfaction.

Two communities received A List Awards and one Platinum Community award for the CEL Army Survey distributed earlier this year.

Soldiers and Families living at Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes received the survey requesting feedback on their housing experience. The results spoke for themselves with Mountain Community Homes receiving a service satisfaction score of 84. Mountain Community Homes encouraged all of their residents to participate and received a 34-percent response rate from the five neighborhoods that were surveyed.

"I am extremely proud of our team for the work they do here every day," said Megan Klosner, director of property management at Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes, "and the Army Housing Survey scores just go to show that they deserve a big congratulations for a job well done.

"Considering the hardships we face here during the long North Country winters, it's important to give a special note of consideration to our maintenance teams," Klosner continued. "They consistently amaze me with what they are able to accomplish. They battle cold, snow and ice and still never let us down with the response time goals we set for them regarding emergency and service calls."

The Mountain Community Homes housing team continually seeks ways to better serve the housing community and encourages real feedback from residents. This is a valuable tool that helps in determining areas that might be lacking.

"We really want to know what our residents think so we can continue to strive for excellence in the quality of service we provide," said Gillian Maitland, community services manager. "Taking the time to answer the questions in the survey might not seem like a big thing to each individual person, but when you combine them all to get 34 percent of all your Families telling you what they think -- that's an invaluable amount of information that we use to develop policies and procedures for the future. We really appreciate our residents taking that time to answer the survey."

The Army Housing Survey is typically conducted on an annual basis, so residents at all Army bases should expect to see another survey next spring. Similar questions will be asked again, which are designed to illustrate trends at each Army base.

Joe McLaughlin, project director at Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes, remarked on the outstanding scores the company received.

"It feels good to be acknowledged," McLaughlin said. "It's really a tribute to the hard work put forth by our teams here. From the person who helps the Soldier sign the lease to the maintenance person who fixes a leaky pipe -- everyone here works together to take care of our Soldiers and their Families. I couldn't be more proud of the scores we received."
