WIESBADEN, Germany -- The Army's Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Lt. Gen. Mary A. Legere, met with leaders and Soldiers while visiting U.S. Army Europe's area of responsibility, July 20-24.

While in Germany, Legere visited Army Europe headquarters in Wiesbaden, the Dagger Complex in Darmstadt, and the Multinational Intelligence Readiness Operations Capability in Grafenwoehr.

Legere then traveled to L'viv, Ukraine, where Exercise Rapid Trident is taking place.

U.S. Army G2 in Europe trains and leads by providing all source intelligence support to land forces in the USAREUR theater; providing guidance on plans, policies, procedures, and organizations for collecting, producing, and disseminating intelligence, and on conducting counterintelligence activities; exercising operational control over intelligence units assigned or attached to USAREUR headquarters; providing guidance and oversight of liaison carried out between USAREUR and other US and non-US intelligence and security agencies; promoting regional stability by building relationships and capacity amongst our partner nations.
