FORT HUACHUCA, Arizona (July 1, 2015) -- A solemn ceremony July 1, marked the addition of the 101st name into the Signal Cove of Remembrance. With more than 100 people in attendance, the name and image of Maj. Michael Donahue, formerly of the XVIII Airborne Corps, was added to the wall of the memorial just inside the Greely Hall main entrance.

Donahue died September 2014, of injuries in Afghanistan. Attending the ceremony was Donahue's widow, Sherri Donahue, and two of his three children -- Seamus and Bailey Donahue.

"Our fallen have their names and faces etched on ceramic tiles in the Cove of Remembrance, to forever remind us of their ultimate sacrifice to our nation," said Maj. Gen. John B. Morrison Jr., NETCOM commanding general.

After laying a wreath inside the Cove of Remembrance, Morrison and Command Sgt. Maj. Stephfon Watson, NETCOM command sergeant major, unveiled the newest tile in the with the Donahue family.

The Signal Cove of Remembrance was opened in 2008, with 56 names and images of Signal Soldiers and Civilians in support of Signal operations who died since Sept. 11, 2001.
