Air Defenders from the Slovak Republic fire an IGLA missile at a target only a few kilometers away during Exercise Tobruq Legacy in Boletice, Czech Republic July 1.

Tobruq Legacy is a Ground Based Air Defense, or GBAD, exercise featuring five countries, including the U.S., Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Lithuania with more than 500 soldiers and airmen connecting their radar and weapons systems together resulting in one common operational air picture to scan the skies for potential hostile targets.

The 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command, a U.S. Army Europe unit stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany sent a team to provide command and control during the exercise along with a detachment from the Ohio National Guard with Sentinel radar systems to allow a shared view of possible airborne threats to the NATO allies.
