Turkey -- As part of cooperative exercises with our NATO allies, U.S. Soldiers from the Germany-based 11th Missile Defense Battery and from 1st Battalion, 503rd Airborne Infantry Regiment out of Vicenza, Italy along with allies of the Turkish Security Forces executed mountain reconnaissance training from May 11-14 in Turkey. The key objectives of the training event were to test Paratroopers, 11th MD-B Soldiers, and TAF on reconnaissance techniques. The four days of training helped to build on a long lasting working relationship with the Turkish military in order to further interoperability with our NATO allies.
