ESCHENBACH, Germany -- About 120 students, parents and family members attended this year's Math Night here at the Netzaberg Elementary School, April 23.

The NES Dragon Den Booster Club, which is an organization that supports the school, partnered with both math coaches from the school, Jerri Edwards and Kim Martin, to help them put together the event.

In addition to the good turn-out, many teachers and parent volunteers enjoyed themselves while helping.

At Math Night, teachers planned many math events focused on multiplication, division and number lines and included computer games, Uno and equations.

Both math coaches love the math part of the night but they mostly love how excited the children are who come to take part in the event.

"Math night will definitely improve the students' knowledge," Edwards said.

NES will continue to have Math Night once a year in April to encourage students to have fun with math.

The teachers hope all of the students and families understand that math is easier to learn when it's fun.

"We hope all of the students and families enjoyed themselves but at the same time learned a lot at math night," said Martin.
