HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command hosted a Spring Extravaganza with Survivor Outreach Services for surviving family members of fallen service members April 11 at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville.
The event had 75 family members and more than 90 volunteers attending.
Activities included face painting, a pugil pit by the National Guard, a ball tossing station, military tactical vehicle rides, balloon art, coffee mug painting, bottle sand art station, old fashioned ice cream making, a potluck lunch, visits with therapy pets, and a labyrinth honor walk by Turning Points Consultants used as a healing tool for surviving family members.
