WASHINGTON DC -- (Mar 27, 2015) The Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civilian Personnel, Gwen DeFilippi, held a Civilian Workforce Transformation (CWT) General Officer Steering Committee (GOSC) meeting at the Pentagon to update senior Army officials on a number of critical civilian topics.

The CWT GOSC is made up of senior civilians in the secretariat, general staff and major command leadership that either have a direct impact on the development of the civilian corps or a professional interest towards improving the civilian workforce environment.

Topics for the GOSC included supervisor-employee engagements, results of the Federal Employee Viewpoint Surveys (FEVS), the upcoming Enhanced Engagement Conference and the development of a future initiative called Emerging Enterprise Leader (EEL) talent development program for GS-11s/12s and their equivalents.

"These programs and a few more that we are working on are the result of focus groups, questionnaires, the 2013 and 2014 FEVS results and feedback from Army leaders and Army civilians to build a more professional foundation for the civilian corps," said Gwen DeFilippi. "We want Army Civilians to know their voices have been heard and that civilian hiring, career management, training/development, workforce engagement and sustainment is a priority for all of us."
