BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan (March 26, 2015) -- Key leaders met in Bagram District, March 26, with district governor, Abdul Qadusi, to discuss coordination and synchronization efforts for future security operations.

In addition to Qadusi, Bagram District Chief of Police Col. Masoom Farzai and village Maliks - senior village representatives - attended the meeting. Discussions focused on how to decrease force protection threats, the status of current projects in the commander's emergency response program, resourcing issues and future partnered operations.

"We are neighbors and share the same security concerns," Task Force Solid Commander Lt. Col. Zachary L. Miller said. "We are working hard with the elected and local leaders to ensure that Bagram is a safe place to live."

Miller is responsible for security operations conducted by coalition forces in the Bagram ground defense area.

The meeting was also an opportunity to provide Qadusi with updates on recent coalition and Afghan national defense and security force operations. Task Force Solid discussed events at Bagram Air Field that may affect the local population, like the closing of the Korean Hospital and the status of its future.

All sides agreed to increased cooperation on future security efforts.
