VILNIUS, Lithuania -- Staff with U.S. Army Europe's Joint Multinational Training Center recently delivered blocks of instruction here in Stability Operations and the Engagement Warfighting Function.

Dr. James Derleth, Senior Interagency Training Advisor at the JMRC, instructed students at the Lithuanian Army's Command and Staff Course between March 16-20, 2015.

This 5-month course prepares Lithuanian and foreign officers for brigade staff positions. Topics include the development of leadership skills, an understanding of contemporary warfare, and the acquisition of the knowledge and skills required to effectively execute all aspects of land warfare.

The course has included students from Estonia, Georgia, Latvia and Lithuania.
