St. Patrick's Day in New York is famous for its huge parade and this year, Soldiers from the U.S. Army Military District of Washington supported that national celebration by marching with thousands of others up Fifth Avenue past St. Patrick's Cathedral to 79th Street, March 17, 2015.
Time was taken during the festivities to welcome 26 new Soldiers into the Army. The oath of enlistment was administered by Maj. Gen. Jeffrey S. Buchanan, the commanding general of the U.S. Army Military District of Washington.
