BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan (Mar. 13, 2015) -- Lt. Gen. Anto Jelec, Chief of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Joint Staff, conducted a troop review of Bosnian soldiers and toured United States Forces - Afghanistan facilities 12-13 March 2015.

Jelec was here to engage the USFOR-A leadership, get an update on the mission his soldiers are performing here, and assess his troops' performance and potential for future contributions to the Resolute Support mission.

"I'm really happy and satisfied with how our troops of western Herzegovina are performing and how they work alongside American troops," Jelec said. "That's what we trained them to do. And I'm more than satisfied with the good words from our American counterparts and how we're accepted and how we work together."

During the two-day tour, Maj. Jason Pelletier, JTF-3 Headquarters Battalion commander, also provided a mission brief that described the relationship between Bosnian and coalition forces and the critical role the Bosnian soldiers play in security and force protection at the RSF compound.

"The soldiers are doing extremely well," Pelletier said. "They are filling a vital role here at the headquarters. They came to us with a great reputation, and since they arrived we have been able to witness their competence and professionalism first hand. I couldn't have asked for a more seamless integration between the U.S. and Bosnian forces."

"The United States of America is a true friend to our country and really true friends to the Armed Forces of western Herzegovina," Jelec said. "I thank them very much for accepting us and developing the Resolute Support mission together."
