FORT HOOD, Texas -- One of the Army's top logisticians visited the 407th Army Field Support Brigade, during a trip to here, Feb. 10-11.

Maj. Gen. Larry D. Wyche, the incoming deputy commanding general of U.S. Army Materiel Command, was on hand to visit with AMC units on Fort Hood during the two-day visit.

Wyche met with Maj. Gen Michael Bills, commanding general, 1st Cavalry Division; Brig. Gen. Michael Dillard, commanding general, 310th Expeditionary Sustainment Command; Brig Tim Lai (British Army), deputy commanding general, III Corps and Fort Hood.

Wyche also visited the 407th AFSB where he viewed operations and met with unit personnel.

Col. Steven S. DeBusk, commander, 407th AFSB, pointed out to Wyche the unit's focus on supporting the Warfighter while resolving challenges such as funding through Fiscal Year 2015, projected Fiscal Year 2016 overseas contingency operations; Logistics Readiness Center resourcing, and more.

DeBusk also underscored the 407th mission and vision for the future.

"We are an agile and responsive organization fully networked to leverage all capabilities in the Strategic Logistics Enterprise as the AMC "face to the field" to generate readiness for the supported commander," he said.
