In the interest of the safety and security of residents, employees and visitors and to hone our access control process, Emergency Services personnel will conduct an "access control" test Wednesday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to noon. This will affect the Fort Myer and Henderson Hall portions of Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall.

This test is aimed at credentialing visitors -- all those who do not qualify for a Department of Defense ID card.

The Hatfield Gate at Washington Boulevard and South 2nd Street, is the designated Fort Myer access point for non-DoD ID card holders.

The nature of this test may cause traffic delays for residents and DoD personnel as they enter or depart Fort Myer and Henderson Hall.

To ease access for residents and other DoD ID card holders, DES recommends they use the Wright Gate (Marshall Drive at North Meade Street, near the Iwo Jima Memorial) or Henderson Hall's Gate 1 at Southgate Road and South Orme Street.
