The final figures are in for Pine Bluff Arsenal's Combined Federal Campaign. Employees have pledged and contributed $46,905.04 towards a goal of $50,000. This is 93.81 percent of the goal.

"The campaign went a lot better than last year. We got closer to our goal," said Laura Hiserodt, Arsenal CFC campaign coordinator. During last year's campaign, Arsenal employees contributed $39,139 towards the goal of $50,000. "People are still recovering from sequestration last year."

Hiserodt said that she was glad to see the increase from last year. "I hope we can continue to increase our contributions. All the key workers did a great job and tried to reach everyone on the installation," she said. "We always try to make contact with everyone."

The CFC began in the early 1960s, is one of only two fund drives allowed on U.S. Army installations during work hours. It affords all employees an opportunity to contribute to one or more charitable, humanitarian or medical research organizations at a local or national level.

Federal employees continue to make the CFC the largest and most successful workplace philanthropic fundraiser in the world. Federal employees have raised more than $28.1 million dollars for charitable causes around the world.

"I am really proud of Pine Bluff Arsenal for the amount we have given this year," she said.
