Announcement of New Tooele Army Depot Leader

TOOELE ARMY DEPOT, Utah -- Army Colonel, Roger L. McCreery, Depot Commander, is pleased to announce his selection for the new Deputy to the Commander.

A change has been made to the leadership team at Tooele Army Depot, Tooele, Utah. Effective 25 January 2015, Keith Siniscalchi will be joining the Depot's headquarter staff as the Deputy to the Commander. Keith will be responsible for driving the workforce to the next level, building on the solid foundation and momentum achieved by the Tooele Army Depot Team under the direction of Gary B. Carney's professional leadership.

Keith has vast experience establishing new ventures within the Directorate of Ammunition Operations and has done a great job with leading and preparing that organization for future growth and missions. He is to be commended for the significant contributions he has made in setting the right tone, energy and structure of Ammunition Operations, and for being a key driver in business development and acquisitions for the past six years.

"We welcome his leadership and knowledge of not only this organization but of the Department of the Defense as well," said McCreery. He will be responsible for working with the Tooele Army Depot workforce of approximately 500 key workers, the Headquarters Joint Munitions Command (JMC), other commands and sister Ammunition Depots, and also several leaders of private companies the Depot has entered into partnerships with.

Keith Siniscalchi served as the Director of Ammunition Operations at Tooele Army Depot, Tooele, Utah, for the past six years. He was responsible for the execution and management of a $40 million budget and managed a Directorate composed of 225 employees. Previously, he spent three years as the Director of Ammunition Logistics and Engineering from 2006 -- 2009 also at Tooele Army Depot. He was responsible for executing a $60 million budget and managed a Directorate of 270 employees.

In addition to conventional ammunition logistics and ammunition peculiar equipment; Keith has extensive experience in Center of Technical Excellence, Quality Control, Continuous Improvement, Equal Opportunity, Public and Media Relations, Marketing and Safety Programs.

Keith's federal service began at Tooele Army Depot, Directorate of Supply. He transferred to the chemical munitions operations in 1984. In 1991, he was appointed as the Tooele Army Depot, Transportation Officer. He oversaw the application of Army Strategic Mobility Project funds to rebuild the rail system at Tooele Army Depot to improve mission power projection capabilities. Keith has received several awards: Department of the Army (DA) Meritorious Civilian Service Award for his leadership and accomplishments, DA Superior Civilian Service Award in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, and several Commanders' Awards for Civilian Service. Keith is also a recipient of the Vice Presidential Hammer Award, initiated by Vice President, Al Gore for reinventing government.
