ADANA, Turkey -- Representatives from eight NATO members and three US Services met on 4 December as part of the Joint Host Nation Support Coordination Council (JHNSCC) in support of the Turkish request for Air Defense Artillery forces.

The JHNSCC, established in 2013, serves as a mechanism for alliance members supporting the Turkish request to address and resolve issues at the lowest level, thus ensuring operational success.

Such forums enable the alliance to build strong partnerships through the close coordination of supporting requirements and routine interaction with NATO partner forces.

Additionally the unity of effort involved in this mission relies on the key life support elements that Turkey provides. They significantly help minimize the support needed by participating NATO nations.

The participating nations created an effective and mutually supporting forum that continues to ensure success of the alliance moving forward.
