Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD :Gary P. Martin, U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command deputy to the commanding general, provided opening remarks to the audience of analysts at the Army Operations Research Symposium 2014 held at the Team C4ISR Mallette Training Facility at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, Nov. 4, 2014.

"You [analysts] serve a great purpose for the Army each and every day and the Army will be leveraging your capability for quite some time," said Martin. "As the resources continue to dwindle and the complexity of the problems continue to rise, it will take the analyses that you all do to shape not only how we shape and develop weapon systems but also how we make decisions."

The AORS is an annual two-day networking event and forum for Army operations research analysts, including military, civilians and contractors, to showcase their work, share knowledge and experiences with their peers, and attend plenary sessions. The event is hosted by the U.S. Army Materiel Systems Analysis located at Aberdeen Proving Ground.
