Army Contracting Command announces its annual award winners

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The U.S. Army Contracting Command recognized 27 individuals and eight teams for excellence in fiscal year 2013.

"It is with great pleasure and immense pride that I announce the winners of the Fiscal Year 2013 Army Contracting Command Awards," said Maj. Gen. Ted Harrison, ACC commanding general. "These military and civilian employees exemplify the highest level of performance and service for excellence in the acquisition, contracting, and small business within ACC and warrant this recognition."

According to Kirk Martindale, ACC Human Capital G-1 Awards Program manager, selectees were recognized for their outstanding achievements between Oct. 1, 2012, and Sept. 30, 2013. The awards panel reviewed more than 150 nominations before making the selections.

This year, teams and individuals from ACC-Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, received 14 awards; ACC-Warren, Michigan, received six; the Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas, received five; ACC-New Jersey received four; ACC-Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, received three; ACC-Rock Island, Illinois, received two and ACC Headquarters, Redstone Arsenal, received one.
