The Army Contracting Command's commanding general and command sergeant major made their first official visit to the ACC-New Jersey's Picatinny facility Aug. 8.

Maj. Gen. Ted Harrison and Command Sgt. Maj. David Puig addressed ACC-NJ associates during a town hall meeting that was also video teleconferenced with ACC-NJ associates at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersy, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and Benet Labs, Watervliet Arsenal, New York. During the meeting, Harrison honored several ACC-NJ personnel for their contracting achievements and entertained questions from the audience.

"It was great having Maj. Gen. Harrison visit ACC-New Jersey. His candid remarks about Army contracting and the continued importance of that mission truly resonated," said Paul Milenkowic, executive director, ACC-NJ. "His visit will go a long way in keeping everyone motivated, especially as we near the end of the fiscal year."

While at Picatinny, Harrison also met with James Shields, the newly appointed Program Executive Officer for Ammunition and toured the Army Research, Development and Engineering Center's Manufacturing Technology Center to see the organic prototype and manufacturing capabilities that exist on the installation for metal parts, armaments and related components.
