Douglas Larkin, center, and 10 graduate students watch the Lego NXT robot in action during a tour July 30 of laboratories and test facilities at Picatinny Arsenal's Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center.

Larkin is from the College of Education and Human Services at Montclair State University in Montclair, N.J. The purpose of the tour is to inform future educators about the potential of what a career in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) can offer. Standing to the left of Larkin is Edward Peterson, Picatinny Arsenal's STEM Program Manager.
