ANSBACH, Germany (July 30, 2014) -- U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach hosts a community showcase every year towards the end of August, right on time when PCS season is about over and school starts again. The event gives newly arrived and current community members an opportunity to find out about the plethora of services available to them, register with different organizations and find out about updates for existing services, clubs and organizations from the Ansbach community.

This year the community showcase is expanding its offer to the residents with even more information; therefore the former location, the Katterbach Physical Fitness Center, which was bursting at its seams already, was given up and the showcase moved to a larger venue on Urlas. Visitors will find information stands inside the mall lobby and in front of the commissary in a large tent.

The community showcase will be open on Saturday, Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; while it is mostly designed for Soldiers, civilians and family members new to the community, current residents will find plenty of useful information and and have opportunity to catch up and reconnect with organizations and services after the long summer break. As many of the major garrison services and offices will be represented, this also serves as a chance to meet the people "who make it all happen" and take care of your needs in person.
