FORT BENNING, Ga. (July 30, 2014) -- To the Soldiers, civilians, Family members and friends of Fort Benning and the Maneuver Center of Excellence, I want to express how humbled I am to be back at this great installation. In three decades of service, I have had the privilege of serving here previously and it always remains the place where many of us began our military service, and it is like coming home. What has remained constant through the years is the high caliber of people living and working on and around Fort Benning.
I look forward to continuing the great work that goes on at the Maneuver Center of Excellence each and every day. I am committed to focusing on leader development and mastering the basics of being a Soldier in order to accomplish our critically important mission - to provide our Army with the best trained, most professional, maneuver Soldiers and Leaders for future complex operating environments.
There are few places in the Army that play as large a role in developing leaders as the Maneuver Center of Excellence; the dedication of our leaders, military and civilian, to our mission and the continued support of our great Family members is inspiring. I am honored to join this team and I look forward to working with each of you as we prepare Soldiers and leaders for current and future challenges.
One Force, One Fight!
