407th Army Field Support Brigade welcomes new leaders

FORT HOOD, Texas -- The 407th Army Field Support Brigade welcomed its new commander and command sergeant major during a change of command and assumption of responsibility ceremony on Hildner Field here July 24.

DeBusk, a career logistics officer, is arriving for his first tour of duty at Fort Hood, "The Great Place." He comes to the 407th AFSB after serving as the deputy chief, Depots and Arsenals Division, U.S. Army Materiel Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala.

Allen took command of the 407th AFSB in July 2012, while the unit was undergoing major restructuring to include gaining mission command of eight Directorates of Logistics which later grew to 11 DOLs. In October 2013, the term DOL was changed to Logistics Readiness Center per direction from the Army Materiel Command. He leaves Fort Hood to serve as the director of logistics for the U.S. Special Operations Command, at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.

"I consider myself privileged and honored to serve as your commander. Your reputation beyond Fort Hood and even beyond Army Materiel Command is well known," Debusk said. "It is characterized as an organization that is adaptive, innovative and diligently manned by technical competent service-oriented professionals. This is a reputation that we must continue to earn each day and our success is measured by the value we deliver from the perspective of the organizations we support."

Command Sgt. Maj. Nathaniel Richardson relinquished responsibility to Command Sgt. Maj. Tracy Jackson. Richardson is retiring from the military after serving more than 30 years of service.

Jackson comes to the 407th AFSB after serving as command sergeant major of the 6th Ordnance Battalion at Camp Carroll, Korea.
