ATLANTA, Ga. (Jul 13, 2014) -- Col. Kris A. Belanger replaced Col. John W. Aarsen as commander of 4th Brigade Personnel Services, 94th Training Division (Force Sustainment) during a Change of Command ceremony at the Hilton Hotel.
Brig. Gen. Steve W. Ainsworth, commander 94th Training Division who presided over the event, welcomed Belanger and presented Aarsen with the Meritorious Service Medal for his time as commander.
Aarsen, who in his civilian capacity is director of the 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum at Fort Bragg, N.C., will now become the 94th TD's assistant division commander.
"You've built great credibility for our unit with TRADOC, the Training and Doctrine Command, our Soldier Support Institute, and our higher headquarters." Arsen told the Soldiers during his speech. "Support with valor."
Belanger, a strategic planner in her civilian profession, said being a commander is not something she takes lightly.
"To lead these warriors who represent over 600 Soldiers throughout the 4th Brigade, coupled with the family members who support them and the students they teach, we are a team of thousands," She said.
The 4th Brigade (PS) is one of five brigades subordinate to, 94th TD (FS), one of three divisions subordinate to the 80th TC, the third largest command organization in the U.S. Army Reserve. The other two divisions are the 102d Training Division, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and the 100th Training Division, Fort Knox, Ky.
