REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala.--Brig. Gen. Ted Harrison is getting promoted.

The Army Contracting Command commanding general's promotion to major general received Senate confirmation June 25 as part of the Army's Fiscal Year 14 Major General, Army Competitive Category, Promotion Selection List.

"It's truly an honor to be selected for promotion," Harrison said. "I am privileged to be able to continue to lead the Soldiers and civilians of this great organization."

Harrison assumed command of ACC, headquartered here, in October. Prior to his current assignment, he was the commanding general of the U.S. Army Expeditionary Contracting Command, also located here.

No date for the promotion has been set.
