Over 60 senior enlisted representatives from nearly every state and territory in the United States and the District of Columbia attended the 2014 Army National Guard Senior Enlisted Professional Development Workshop at Atterbury-Muscatatuck in Edinburgh, Indiana.

The focus of the conference was to build a better National Guard in the face of challenges to the nation and its military forces. Those in attendance were able to take part in a question and answer session with the Sergeant Major of the Army Raymond Chandler.

Chandler: As a member of the Active Component, I'm proud to serve with you. I mean that sincerely. For many of you in the AGR or in whatever capacity you serve, it's the traditional Guardsman that I admire. I sincerely do. I'm grateful for what you do every day for your state and for the nation.

Reporting from Atterbury-Muscatatuck in Edinburgh, Indiana, I'm Tim Sproles.
