Describe your current position.
I am a contingency contracting noncommissioned officer serving as the team NCO-in-charge. We provide both installation and contingency support to the 1st Armored Division and other major tenant organizations assigned to Fort Bliss.
Describe your passion for your job.
My passion for this job is that I'm afforded the opportunity to see firsthand how my contribution in the acquisition arena supports the Soldier in garrison, in the field and also during disaster and emergency situations. As a 51C contracting NCO, it is my obligation to ensure I educate the customer and contractor in order to better assist in the procuring of supplies and services.
Where do you call home?
I was born and raised in Detroit. I joined the Army 14 years ago and have served a combat tour. I'm married to Sheena Hill and together we have five beautiful children. In my spare time I enjoy playing sports and watching my children in theirs. I recently completed my bachelor's degree in Business Management and will start graduate school soon to obtain a master/s in Procurement and Acquisition Management.
How does your job support the Soldier?
Every purchase requisition supports the Soldier, either in garrison or in the field. The procurement of supplies and services greatly contributes to the Soldier successfully accomplish their mission.
