Gen. Dennis L. Via Army Materiel Command's top leader echoed his remarks.

"In recognition of this great day, this great week, we celebrate our United States Army and its 239th birthday in defending freedom for our great nation," said Via. "I've worn this uniform for 34 years and it's an honor to be a part of this great institution."
