Soldiers from U.S. Army Pacific attended a "United State Army Day" proclamation hosted by City and County of Honolulu. The event was held June 5 at Honolulu Hale in Honolulu. Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell presented the proclamation declaring June 14, 2014, "United State ArmyDay" in honor of the Army's 239th Birthday. Caldwell expressed his appreciation to the Soldiers in attendance for the sacrifices they make for our country. U.S. Army Pacific, Deputy Commanding General, Army National Guard, Maj. Gen. Gary M. Hara, and Soldiers from Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion accepted the Proclamation from the Honolulu Mayor.
