FORT KNOX, Ky. (May 7, 2014) -- U.S. Army Human Resources Command and Brig. Gen. David MacEwen, the 59th Adjutant General of the Army will conduct a live Virtual Town Hall after action review on the roll out of the new Officer Evaluation Report Thursday, May 15.

The town hall session will be from 11a.m. - noon EDT using the HRC Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/ArmyHRC.

This is the command's first Facebook town hall meeting and HRC's leadership wants to solicit feedback from officers, rating officials and those who process OERs on the various components and changes for the new evaluation system which went into effect on April 1, 2014.

Since the announcement in late 2012 of a new Officer Evaluation Report, Human Resources Command conducted a comprehensive, aggressive informational campaign to educate leaders and officers at all grades on the need and timing of the revised evaluation system.

In addition to a complete rewrite of Army Regulation 623-3, Evaluation Reporting System, the command conducted dozens of "road show" visits to speak directly to commanders, leaders and officers. HRC produced and posted educational videos on the command's website and YouTube describing the process for completing the new DA Form 67-10-1 and followed that effort by dispatching Mobile Training Teams to CONUS and OCONUS installations for hands-on training.

"From concept to delivery, HRC and the Army's senior leadership expended a tremendous amount of manpower, resources and energy preparing the force for the implementation of this new evaluation system. We believe it's important to offer this feedback opportunity to those who have used the new OER system in the first few weeks since it's been fielded," said Lt. Col. Chevelle Thomas, HRC public affairs officer.

Since April 1, Human Resources Command has processed more than 47,000 OER support forms and 20,000 evaluation reports.

To post a question or comment regarding any aspect of the new OER system at any time prior to the Town Hall session visitors are welcome to visit the HRC Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ArmyHRC.
