Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) is hosting a series of events to commemorate its 150th anniversary.
ANC 150 will begin on May 13th with a wreath laying ceremony at the gravesite of Army Private William Christman, the first military burial at Arlington, and concludes with a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on 16 June, the day after Arlington officially became a national cemetery. Throughout the month, ANC will also offer lectures and tours highlighting U.S. history through the eyes of the heroes buried at the cemetery and the military conflicts that shaped ANC and the Nation.
Several "Arlington at 150" events are free and open to the public, and other special guided tours will be conducted with Martz Gray Line at a cost of $9 a person.
