KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany -- The 21st Theater Sustainment Command Hero of the Week is Willi Ziemann of the 405th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Rheinland-Pfalz, for the week of April 14-18.

Ziemann went above and beyond the call of the duty to deliver three pallets of excess equipment from Mannheim to fulfill shortages in the Kaiserslautern Military Community. He also transported 20 pallets of Organization Clothing and Individual Equipment to the Theater Logistics Support Center-Europe for redistribution. He continually accepts additional duties while also accomplishing his regular scheduled duties, LRC officials said.

The 21st TSC commanding general recognizes each "Hero" as part of his Commander's Update with a Hero of the Week certificate.

"Willi shares his expertise not only as a local national, but also a 10-year veteran in the German Army (Bundeswehr) beginning in September 1987," said Timothy Wood, director, Logistics Readiness Center, Rheinland-Pfalz.

Ziemann was a motor vehicle operator for 10 years before accepting a position with the 405th AFSB.
