BOWL ZEROES IN ON ONE OF THE NATION'S ELITE PROSPECTS

Washington, D.C. (September 15, 2006) --- Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. Richard A. Cody will announce the selection of a Defensive Tackle from Ballou High School 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at the school. Austin will be the first U.S. Army All-American from the East in the class of 2007. The bowl features the nation's top 80 prep football players in a classic East versus West match-up inside San Antonio's Alamodome. The game will kick off 1 p.m. (EST), Saturday, January 6, 2007 and will be televised live on NBC.

Austin earned All-Met honors as a junior after he registered more than 80 tackles including 12 for loss, eight sacks, and five forced fumbles. Often compared to Gerald McCoy, 2006 U.S. Army All-American, Austin's a tremendous leader both on and off the field and is considered by many to be the nation's best overall defensive player.

Selection Event Key Facts:

Who: A Defensive Tackle from Ballou High School

Where: Ballou High School Gymnasium, 3401 4th Street SE, Washington, D.C. 20032

When: 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2006

Key Personnel:

- Ballou HS Defensive Tackle

- Gen.
