AMC, ACC leaders visit contracting center

ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, Ill. -- Lt. Gen. Patricia McQuistion, deputy commanding general, Army Materiel Command, and Brig. Gen. Theodore Harrison, commanding general, Army Contracting Command, visited the ACC-Rock Island contracting center April 1.

McQuistion and Harrison toured the ACC-RI facilities and met with members of the workforce, answering questions and providing updates from AMC and ACC headquarters levels. McQuistion also presented AMC Deputy Commander's Coins to several ACC-RI employees:

- Carissa Needham, contract specialist, for her acquisition support to the Joint Munitions and Technology Center on the M997 Ambulance program;

- Steven Perry, contract specialist, for mentoring, coaching, and providing support to critical customers, including the information technology services for all Rock Island Arsenal tenants;

- Joe Loftus, lead contract price/cost analyst, for his work as the cost team lead for the Enhanced Army Global Logistics Enterprise team, as well as the Kuwait Base Operations Safety and Security contract and Afghan national army programs;

- Melissa Burant, procuring contracting officer; and contract specialists Kathleen Berry, Corbin De La Cruz, John Hemmen and Michelle Lund, who, as a team, were dedicated to the support of Intelligence Support Services-Afghanistan, Atmospheric Program-Afghanistan, Information Operations Task Force-Afghanistan, and the Military Information Support Task Force-Afghanistan.
