The soldiers are from the state of Georgia. Part of the 560th battlefield surveillance brigade. They're here in the republic of Cameroon, to share.

"Georgia heat doesn't compare to the heat here, that's a large adjustment for us, but I think we're doing a good job."

The job is showing multinational soldiers from six African nations infantry skills as used by the U.S. Army.

"We're going deep into the U.S. tactics, from all of our littlest techniques to our biggest to our Ranger school type of patrolling actions.

The backdrop for this instruction is exercise central accord 14, an Africom driven training event, executed by U.S. Army Africa. 10 days of instruction, reinforced with hands on, boots on the ground application.

"It's not new; they have their ways of doing things. I feel I'm learning just as much from them as hopefully they're learning from me."

Much of what's on agenda, is seen by the local armies as valuable, potentially lifesaving skills. Many have already served in Somalia or Mali, others are on their way to the unstable situation in the central African republic. Central accord is a venue focused on sharpening African crisis response capabilities, thanks in part to the boys from Georgia.
