Easter Sunrise Service at Arlington National Cemetery

The annual Easter Sunrise Service at the Arlington National Cemetery Memorial Amphitheater begins at 6:30 a.m., Sunday April 20. Rear Adm. Margaret Grun Kibben, deputy chief of Navy chaplains will provide the sermon. There will be an interpreter for the hearing impaired.

The services will begin with a prelude by the United States Army Band "Pershing's Own," at 6:15 a.m.

The nondenominational worship service is hosted by the U.S. Army Military District of Washington's Command Chaplain and is free and open to the public. Parking for the Easter Service will be available at the Arlington National Cemetery Visitors Center parking lot and on Joint Base Myer - Henderson Hall (JBM-HH) parking will be open across from the Spates Community Club for those who would like to walk to the Amphitheater through the Selfridge Gate into ANC. Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.

For those with limited mobility, there is a free shuttle service available that will provide transportation to the Memorial Amphitheater beginning at 5:15 a.m. from the Arlington National Cemetery Visitor's Center and the JBM-HH Old Post Chapel.
