WASHINGTON (April 2014) - - Weather permitting; here is what the U.S. Army Military District of Washington and other DoD agencies are providing in support of this year's Cherry Blossom Festival and other events in the National Capital Region in the coming days. All events are free, and open to the public.

12 April

Cherry Blossom Parade! One of DC's largest spectator events, the energy-filled Parade runs along Constitution Avenue from 7th to 17th streets, NW, and is televised live from 10 a.m. - noon. MDW and other DoD outreach support includes:

• Armed Forces Color Guard

• Fife and Drum Corps

• Five (5) 3 x 9 Marching Platoons (Army, Marines Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard)

• Quantico Marines Corps Band

12 April

The Joint Service Drill Exhibition takes place at the Jefferson Memorial at Independence Ave SW and 23rd St SW, Washington, DC beginning at 11 a.m. Teams from the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines will perform their best drill routines, so arrive early to secure a front-row seat.

MDW and other DoD outreach support includes:

• U.S. Army Drill Team

• Marines Corps Silent Drill Platoon

• U.S. Navy Drill Team

• U.S. Air Force Drill Team
